1. What is your favorite thing about the Web Essentials class in general?

- "Finally learning about the mystery of website sources."
- "I think it's exciting to learn all the things about making a website. It's fun!"
2. What is your LEAST favorite thing about the Web Essentials class in general?
- "It's really hard to get caught up if you get behind."
- "Its really easy to mess up."
- "Trying to remember all the different parts of CSS (ex: selector, value, property, etc.)"
- "The amount of time the class takes."
- "There is nothing I don't like about the class, so I'm just going to nitpick and say that I don't like how we only have one attempt on quizzes, because it scares me."
- "All the weird rules that are hard to understand and remember."
3. Describe one positive learning experience you had from the course and why it made an impact on you.
- "One positive learning experience I have had from this course is figuring out that HTML isn't as easy as I thought it would be, but it made me happy because it was something to look forward to figuring out. It made an impact on me because when I looked at this class, I judged by its 'cover' and assumed it would be an easy A class, which it could be, but it takes a lot of work."
- "I learned how to format XHTML a lot better! I have been using it in other aspects of my real life now; for example, I had to format a blog post for school and the lines kept creating a space between each other for no reason. I looked at the HTML view and saw that it was automatically adding new <p> and </p> elements, forming a gap between the lines. I was able to manipulate it to fix that, now that I understand XHTML."
- "When we added CSS to yourmomscards. I showed it off to my parents. It was really cool."
- "I learned that I can be creative. I always thought that I wasn't creative, but now I know I am."
4. What would you recommend to improve Ms. Hansen as a teacher?
- "It's good, maybe use a few more actual projects, so we can test what we've learned."
5. List one or two things you would recommend improving about the Web Essentials class.
- "More help with study guides, like if when you were done you could have other students compare them and stuff to double check your answers. That way, if something was wrong to could fix it instead of just being confused."
